Insensitive Society ?

Mummy was in tears while reading Aunty May's blog today on "Low IQ Girl" - http://mylittlevera.blogspot.com/. With the modern society in the rush for money, status & fame, people can be rather insensitive. Sad but true, even some medical professionals can be rather ignorant too.
As Baby Rayvin was only diagnosed with T18 shortly after being delivered, this is the 1st sentence from the insensitive paeds , Dr E to Mummy - "Your baby is NOT NORMAL". Then he continued by describing all the T18 characteristics as if all T18 babies r very ugly & weak. When he was briefing Daddy, he even pointed at Baby Rayvin's hand & rudely said "See, see, see ....I told u so ...". It was depressing.
Baby Rayvin, u r our handsome boy. U will always be our cute baby Rayvin. Even most of the nurses commented that u r a beautiful baby & will always be ... Mummy love u.

I share your pain and anguish. The first sentence I heard coming out of the operation was, 'Your baby has cataracts'. Imagine, not being able to see her, and being told this. It turned out to NOT be cataracts at all, and she can see now! But it's nothing near as bad as what you had to hear! Gosh I would have fainted on the spot.
