Travel & Holiday ...

Mummy & 'Koko' Jayvin came to Kuantan right after his school session on 3rd Sept (Fri). 'Yiyi' Kereen & Uncle, 'Kong Kong', Grandma 'Mama', Great Grandma' 2nd Uncle relatives were here too. We were there to celebrate Veyron's 1st birthday.
On Sat, we had a 1/2 day tour to Sg Lembing. Had delicious, traditional & value for $ 'yong tau foo', visited Museum, Crystal House which happens to belongs to a friend's family & lastly the hanging bridge. Grandma prepared authentic lunch for all of us - 'kao jam', the Thailand rice mixed with various fresh green vegetables and fish meat, served with fried fish and of course, the 'Budu'.  By 6pm, we went to Teluk Chempedak forever beautiful beach before heading to the party venue at Crocodile Rock. They served great western food, and we decorated the place with balloons, party hat, and it ended with a cake cutting on the specially ordered Baskin Robbins's Clown ice-cream cake.
Daddy only arrived in the early Sunday morning due to work. We then went for 'Koko' Jayvin's photography shooting. 'Kong Kong', Grandma & Great grandma had a session with us too. However, sad to say that the photographer is not very skillful. Upon checking later, the photos turned out to be 'normal' only but the owner had promised us for additional another session. That's a relieve but very  troublesome. Furthermore, Greatgrandma & Daddy are not around for the 2nd shooting.
On the 6th, Mummy & 'Koko' Jayvin followed Great Grandma, Grandma & 'Kong Kong' heading north to Kota Bharu. It was a smooth drive & we arrived at 3pm in KB. We had nice lunch at Mid Town cafe, which was recommended by Great Grandma.
On the 7th, Mummy had a long drive again. We went to Rantau Panjang, a duty free & border town to Thailand (Sg Golok), shopping paradise of Thailand's product. It had expanded and lots of shop lots offering various items - clothing, food, flowers, decorations items, bags, shoes, dining ware, souvenirs, wedding gifts ... Mummy bought 2 sets of Jayvin's clothes, Great Grandma bought him a set too, 2 special jungle design T-shirts for Daddy & 'Yeye', dried decoration flowers for SIL, bangles for Mummy. As we had plenty of time spare, we headed to 'Sleeping Buddha Temple' for lunch (kaow jam) and then to another duty free area - Pengkalan Kubu. It was rather small compared to Rantau Panjang, but we still managed to get several items there - Jayvin's shoes, Ferrerro Rocher chocolates and lots of dried food - bananas, jackfruits, yam, cashew nuts ....
Mummy had a leisure rest at 'Kong Kong's' house on the 8th.
On the 9th, Mummy, 'Koko' Jayvin & Grandma went to KB Mall for shopping. Mummy will surely report duty to the shopping mall every trips back to KB. Mummy bought a blouse, a T-shirt for Jayvin & mooncakes for MIL, Great Grandma & for our own.
By the 10th (Fri), we travelled south back to Kuantan again. As it is the 1st day of Hari Raya, the journey is very smooth and hassle-free. We reached Kuantan around 4pm.
Yesterday (Sat), we went to Tunas Manja, a local supermarket for some fresh groceries. In the evening, 'Kong Kong', Grandma & Mummy brought 'Koko' Jayvin to Teruntum Mini Zoo and to the Teluk Chempedak beach. It was very, very jam and we parked our car very far away to avoid the congestion. The sea water had subsided, lots of people, old and young were at the beach, many had great time catching the hermit crabs & crabs. Jayvin had a lot of attention from the passer-by for his pail full of the collections of hermit crabs and crabs, thanks to every body's help. Jayvin had also courageously touched the 2 iguanas, a pet from a Malay family.
Our holiday trip is almost to the end today, 12th Sept. School is starting by tomorrow. We will be going for the 2nd session of photography in the morning before heading back to the city in the late evening. It was a tiring drive & holiday for Mummy, but a great family gathering. Jayvin had an awesome time & is still sleeping now (9.25am). Must charged his battery to the max before starting his active day of non-stop playing, running & talking ...
