Last Tuesday was the registration day for all 5 years old children to Standard 1 (Primary) in year 2013. In Mummy's hometown, parents started to 'Q' up since Monday midnight. In Klang Valley, parents are much more fortunate as most will only turned up in the morning.
Being 'kiasu', Mummy woke up at 5am (actually too excited for Jayvin till unable to sleep peacefully that night). In the darkness & heavy rain, Mummy reached the school by 6am. Well, none of the parents were there. The guard even said that school gate will only be open for parent at 8am. It rained extremely heavy that morning. What a way to start the challenging day ...
By 8am, Mummy quickly got down from the car & rushed to the school office, equipped with all the required documents. Upon arriving, parents were told that online registration is required before manual registration can be done at school. What ??? We also need to print out the form for the registration. That is double-work and we are talking about high technology !!!
Frustrated & exhausted, Mummy headed to the Mc D for breakfast with Daddy. Jayvin was already at his school by then. Mummy spent the whole morning (8am till 11am) trying to register online but the website was down. Mummy tried zillion times and only by afternoon, there was an official announcement that the website was closed for maintenance purpose. Arghh !!!
Mummy spent the whole day trying to access to the website. Have to check it frequently as late registration can bring disaster! Chances of not getting a place in the school is high for late registration. In fact, it is the hardest school to get into in the area.
Finally, the next morning (Wed), Mummy managed to register online for Jayvin. What a relief. Registration in the school was smooth and fast. In fact at 10.30 am, Jayvin was registered at number 40 only. I guess many parent were still stuck with the registration. My heart goes out for parent who are not familiar with computer or do not own one ...
Anyway, it was a chaotic 2 days just to get Jayvin in the school. The fight is not over yet as the result will only be out in the month of August. Hopefully, he will get a place in that school. Pray hard & hopefully all the children will be thankful to their parent for all the endless love and sacrifice ...
